چکیده

Treatments for disease in the central nervous system (CNS) are limited because of difficulties agent penetration through blood-brain barrier, achieving optimal dosing, and mitigating off-target effects. The prospect precision medicine CNS treatment suggests an opportunity therapeutic nanotechnology, which offers tunability adaptability to address specific diseases as well targetability when combined with antibodies (Abs). Here, we review strategies attach Abs nanoparticles (NPs), including conventional approaches chemisorption physisorption attempts combine irreversible Ab immobilization controlled orientation. We also summarize trends that have been observed studies systemically delivered Ab–NP conjugates animals. Finally, discuss future outlook Ab–NPs deliver therapeutics into CNS.

ADENOSINE IN THE CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM

Besides being a metabolite of nucleotides like ATP, adenosine is a mediator of neuronal function in the central nervous system. Its actions are mediated by at least three extracellular receptors. In this review different aspects of adenosine such as biosynthesis, release, inactivation and its receptors are discussed. It also covers pre- and postsynaptic effects as well as postreceptor mecha...

P124: Listeriosis in Central Nervous System

Listeriosis is one of the CNS inflammatory diseases which is happened majority in the form of sporadic. Listeriosis is ingested with the food. Infection occurrence in an exposed person depends on the number of organisms ingested, the virulence of the organisms strain and the individual condition. It is known that Listeriosis has decisive importance as an infection which the cellular immunodefen...

Revoking the privilege: targeting HER2 in the central nervous system.

Pharmacologic agents developed for cancer therapy have traditionally relied on a therapeutic ratio of effects between tumors and normal tissue. Over the past decade, this concept has been refined through the development of agents that are intended to specifically target tumor cells. The epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) (ErbB) family of receptor tyrosine kinases is an intensely studied ta...

Accumulation of Antibodies in the Central Nervous System

1. Antibodies can be extracted from the brain and spinal cord of rabbits actively or passively immunized with typhoid bacilli. 2. The titers of the antibodies in the extracts of brain and cord depend upon the titer of the blood serum. In actively immunized rabbits the following numerical relationships exist between the titers of the serum and of these organ extracts: The ratio of the titer of t...

Preferential Lentiviral Targeting of Astrocytes in the Central Nervous System

The ability to visualize and genetically manipulate specific cell populations of the central nervous system (CNS) is fundamental to a better understanding of brain functions at the cellular and molecular levels. Tools to selectively target cells of the CNS include molecular genetics, imaging, and use of transgenic animals. However, these approaches are technically challenging, time consuming, a...
